During what little time he has left he loves to tend to his own garden and fit in a bit of long distance running.

Health & Safety Update

Here at Wessex Grounds Services we take Health & Safety Seriously.

  • Health and safety is a top priority for Wessex Grounds Services.  All team members enjoyed a health and safety update from our health and safety consultant Martin Adlem.  Subjects covered included risk assessment, COSHH, electricity, noise, vibration and manual handling.
  • Our operatives have the very best equipment and we are constantly trialling safer and more environmentally friendly products.  All members of the team recently undertook a training course in the care and maintenance of strimmers, hedge cutters, blowers, chainsaws and cut off saws, to ensure they are always safe and in top condition for our customers.
  • DBS.  We are often asked if our staff are “vetted”.  Every single member of our team is routinely vetted and we do not employ staff without an enhanced DBS check.  So whether you are a school or a social care provider, our team can be relied upon.

Synthetic carpeting used to freshen up and make an existing children’s playground more child friendly.

Recently a Dorset school requested their playground to be freshened up and in the process making the surface more child friendly, using synthetic carpeting. Wessex Grounds Services recently carried out the work.

The following image is part way through the transformation, but it clearly shows the great results that synthetic carpet with great design and landscaping can achieve.
