We also have three new great guys learning the different jobs, ppc and policies of Wessex Grounds Services. It is great to have these guys on board and we are really impressed with their work ethics and eagerness to learn. It is so much appreciated when as a company customer service, high quality results and customer relationships are a priority.
Wessex Grounds Services are delighted to support the Dorset Wildlife Trust and hope that we can help the Trust to make a real difference. In 2015 we undertook some innovative verge enhancement and maintenance trials in West Dorset, in conjunction with the DWT. We are hopeful that these trials will lead to a better understanding of grassland management locally.
One of our winter projects is to give the Dorset wildlife a helping hand by building bug hotels, bird boxes and hedgehog homes. We will be installing these in a number of school grounds.
Managing Director, Stephen Harris has just ordered a third John Deere 1445 power unit combined with a Trimax cutting unit from New Forest Farm Machinery. This is a first rate ride on cutting combination and will enable us to attend to the new work we have acquired this year with capacity to spare.
Nick Leeming, newly appointed Operations Manager said - “for a small company I have been pleasantly surprised at how well equipped the company is, with a good depot, tractors, gang mowers, four ride on mowers and five cutting decks, not to mention the tractor mounted field care equipment and a vast array of hand held powered equipment. We are ready for anything”.
Welcome to Nick and Nigel who joined the team on 5th January 2015.
Steve says “WGS are here for the long term. We are investing heavily in the business to ensure we provide all of our customers with what they are paying for without the need to chase us. We now have a first class management, technical and business support team - very experienced, innovative and dynamic”.
